Just got this product. I was worried becuz the packaging says Oct 2008 and June 2009 models, but it fits my 2011 Oct MBP perfectly ! The vents are located at the hot spots under the MBP at the right spot.I tried to do some lookahead research but the part numbers are probably the distributors, so I took a gamble.Fits good - cheaper than the other listing by $10 less. Everything arrived as expected.

Anyone who owns one of these aluminum MacBooks knows how heartbreaking it is (or would be) if you got a scratch somewhere on the casing. When I first bought my MacBook, these cases weren't available yet so I had to spend several weeks without one and it was scary! I bought this particular one because I knew I needed something that was hard and durable. I wanted the clear one so as not to distract from the overall look of the computer itself.I've used this thing for over 2 years now and I can say that it has held up very well. However, I'm considering buying a new one because mine has started to show some yellow tinting on the rubber feet and all 4 of the plastic tabs that hold the bottom piece on have broken off. As a result, if I were to pick the computer up without holding the bottom panel, it would simply be left on the desk. I'm still giving this product 5 stars because I don't consider this to be a defect. The tabs are plastic and are meant to be small so they fit within the design of the case. You wouldn't want some glaringly large tabs on the keyboard surface. Plus, I take my case off multiple times a year to clean the laptop and to get into the internal areas of the system, so the tabs just naturally wore out. Other than that, this case is a super tight fit and is somewhat difficult to get on and off, but that's a good thing!The main purpose of this product is to protect the MacBook and it certainly does just that. It does add some dimension and weight to the computer, but I'd take that any day over a scratch. For someone like me who doesn't generally buy cases for electronics, I'd still recommend this case highly.

Easy to take on and off yet stays firmly in place. The clear cover doesn't hide the natural aesthetic of the MacBook Pro and keeps it well protected.
