This case looked nice when I got it. It is slim and lightweight and you can access all ports. However, bits of the case started to chip off shortly after I got it. Eventually there were no remaining parts to hold the bottom piece on. I would not recommend this product.

I loved this thing when I got it - so pretty and I got lots of compliments on it. After just a couple months however it started to come apart. There are cracks in the top piece and the small pieces that cover the back corners are starting to fall OFF. It also scratches like none other. Granted, I take my air with me everywhere, and it is coming in and out of my purse multiple times a day but for the inflated price I really expected better quality than this! I'm irritated that I'm going to have to buy another one this quickly.

I've had this case for just over a month and a piece of it has already broken off. If it were just a random piece I could live with it, but it so happens that it is one of the 4 tiny "teeth" that keep the bottom half of the case fastened to the laptop, so now the case is loose and will eventually fall off completely.These cases were designed to have a very low profile, and it definitely looks beautiful on, but unfortunately in doing so they've also evidently had to make some sacrifices in quality as the plastic is so thin that it will easily snap off. When I first unboxed the case I noticed how thin the plastic was, especially on the "teeth", and was concerned about snapping them while I was attaching the case, although I was extremely careful with it.I must also say that this didn't occur due to stress placed on the case; I am one of the most anal people when it comes to electronics and I am overly cautious with them. The laptop remained on my desktop most of the time after the case was applied, and the rare occasion that it was moved it was done with the utmost care. I just came in one day and found the piece of plastic laying next to my laptop.*Update*Multiple cracks have begun to appear in various areas on both the top and bottom portions of the case. Just an incredibly poor quality case all around. I contacted Speck regarding this, and they will only replace it if they determine the damage is caused through a product defect and not through neglect (wondering how exactly they can determine this objectively) and that is only after I've already paid shipping fees to send it to them. No thanks. Good companies take the word of their customer and ship out a replacement no questions asked BEFORE requesting the defective product be shipped back.
